         The night 24^th July, I heard the good news that the Hong Kong Observatory issued typhoon signal no.10 and all students did not want to go to schools in the TV. Wow! I was very happy to have a day off.

       Faced the extra holiday, I watched my favorite film---“Mr. Popper's Penguins”. It is a comedy film. I love the typhoon so much coz it brought me a rest to make my mind and body relax.

 After I watched the film, I felt so bored. However, I could not go out coz it was so dangerous in the street. L I sat in my home without anything to do.

My family and I watched TV News in the evening. According the image, the typhoon Vicente brought a lot of inconvenience and danger.

        It made a serious traffic jam, pose office workers could not went to work or went back to home. It was so trouble!

        In addition, typhoon Vicente made the MTR train was stopped services, the MTR platform and some MTR station halls packed with a crowd of passengers. Passengers were stranded in the MTR station halls overnight. They complained the MTR Corporation stopped MTR train services coz ensured commuters’ safety. Commuter should not blame the MTR Corp.

         After the typhoon lashed, the city was battered.

         When the Hong Kong Observatory announced to cancel the typhoon signal no.10, I went to the supermarket to buy some food. I saw many trees lay on the floor, the street were littered with tree branches. I felt so pessimism. L

          In conclusion, the typhoon Vicente brought a lot of disadvantage, it can damage everything, such as life, trees, buildings, etc. I should not in order the extra holiday to hope the typhoon coming coz the typhoon will bring the bad effect to people.

                                  ‘Cooking, Food and Love’

                       Perhaps many girls like cooking and good at cooking, they often cook the yummy dishes for their family or friends. Although I like eating more than cooking, sometimes I cook the dessert for my friends. Now, I share my experience of cooking dessert.

                 The dessert called ‘cupcake’ of my first cooking dessert. First, my friends and I went the supermarket to buy some ingredients, such as chocolate, egg, flour etc. Then, we went my friend’s home to start my amazing cooking journey.

             I followed a recipe book step by step to do. One hour late, I had mixed all ingredients. I put some cup of mixture into the cooker.

            I liked a child stand by the cooker to see the cake. In a short while, the cakes change bigger one by one, it is so amazing, the cakes like have a life to grow up.

           Moreover, I challenged the difficult. I cooked the cake, called ‘chocolate mousse cake’. I went the supermarket to buy ingredient, for example, chocolate, gelatin sheets, rum, etc.

                                 I tried to do according the cookery book, but it was so difficult for me. The kitchen was untidy during my cooking process. After three hours, my cake was finished!!!

         After cooking by myself, I think the chef is very wonderful. In cooking process, the chef needs to know every step very clearly. Also, the chef is cooking tidy. In addition, I get a sense of achievement in cooking process because I cooked the cake successful.

My Learning Experience-Joy and Challenges

                      “ My Learning Experience- Joy and Challenges ”

      I always get difficulties in my learning process, but I felt happy and sense of achievement when I solved the difficulties.

      Now, I like to share my learning experience. My learning experience met challenges and joy.

 I remember when I was pupil, my English achievement was not bad cos my mum compelled me to study English everyday. I have a bad memory for English vocabulary, so English dictation was a big challenge I face . I needed to copy the vocabulary many times before every time English dictation. Finally I felt great glad in I got high score every time. 

      When I was form 1 to form 3 student , my mum had not compelled me , my achievement like meteoric down .I felt frustrated so much .

      Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) is coming soon.  If I don’t put more effort into my work, I will get a bad result in the HKDSE.I knew my English is worse than other students, so that I must work hard. I think I need to memorize more vocabulary. The aim is to increase my English database. In addition, I need to know the correct sentence structure. It can help me to write the correct sentences. Moreover, I think self-discipline and tenacity is important element.

"My First Encounter with African Culture – Music and Dance "

After he examination , school arrange a OLE activity that  African Drum for form five students . the OLE activity held on the ground floor . (It haven’t air conditioner. 

   I didn’t like the OLE activity much at first because I felt so tired after the examination and it is so hot in that day .

   At the beginning , performer was beating the drum and was singing and was  dancing  excitedly . After the performance , Performer was teaching us to play the drum  e.g.  play the tempo games. Performer and students were happily , but I was clearly impatient to leave . L

   The enthusiastic performance invited students to dance and sing  , unlucky I was invited one of the students!!! -3- I wasn’t too keen on the activity . I followed the black people to dance .I felt embarrassed of the freaky dancing at first .  Despite by the end of the games , the sweat was pouring off me , I felt very happy . Because make my friends and I the relationship better .

    After the games , I was hope to get a big drum . I felt little sad about I got a small drumL, but I still excited beat the drum. Although I can’t understand what the black people sings , I was very enjoy the activity and I song together.

    By the end of the OLE activity , I felt very happy about first encounter the African Drum and played with my friends . I wasn't like to play African drum at first , well, but at the end, I have found myself fallen in love with it ! African drum is very interesting . One thing that I unhappy is I didn’t to take photo with performer , the black people , cos my English is not good L
